Å Font information

The Old English texts and exercises require the fonts JuniusModern and Wingdings. If a character does not appear in the shape it is supposed to in the test table below, you will need to install the corresponding font on your computer. Wingdings is a standard Windows font; JuniusModern can be downloaded from Peter Baker's Old English at the University of Virginia web page. Information about fonts for Middle English texts can be found here.

Note for Macintosh users: due to deep-rooted differences in character coding between Windows and the Macintosh operating system, the Old English words will look odd on a Mac even if you have the right fonts installed.
